Our workshops focus on creativity, imagination, inspiration, ideas, process, play, choices, innovation and self-expression. We encourage skills like critical thinking, communication, collaboration, risk taking and problem solving.
Our approach to art is all about letting go of expectations, judgments, and technique. We do not tell you what to think but rather give you something to think about. By not following the conventional rules and techniques and throwing them out the window, we show you that there is no right or wrong when it comes to creativity or art. Simply consider what you would create if no one was watching, if there was no judgment of right or wrong, pretty or ugly or novice versus skilled - imagine what your masterpiece would look like if you had no fear.
We treat each student as a unique individual that is exploring their personal creative process, learning new artistic skills and discovering what art media or subject matter they are drawn to. Our workshops provide a starting point or inspiration for you to broaden your point of view with new approaches that you may find fun and surprising. What you will ultimately create will truly be a creative expression of you.

Life drawing
Join us for this fun and energetic workshop where you will be drawing a live nude model while sipping a fabulous glass of local wine and nibbling on our delicious home made tapas.
Whether your art abilities stop at drawing stickmen or you consider yourself a seasoned pro, Art Café’s life drawing class is the ideal opportunity to lose yourself in a creative activity, learn a new skill and meet like-minded people. Our life drawing workshops are a fun and creative way to experience something different and memorable..
Working in our fully-equipped art studio with individualised direction, we will take you through a series of exercises and techniques of figure drawing that are both traditional and innovative. We stick to a fast paced format that keeps the energy level high and loosens up your creativity. The focus of our workshops is on having fun and participating in a unique activity, not on creating masterpieces. Our workshops are perfect for complete beginners as well as those with more experience.

BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
To ensure that your experience is as special as you are, a lead time of 2 weeks is required for us to book the life model, order the vino and get started on the delicious tapas. Minimum age for this workshop is 18.
